The Vakil Caravanserai (Karvanica Hotel) in Kerman is the largest two-story caravanserai in the urban areas of Iran, which dates back to the reign of Ismail Khan Nouri Vakil al-Molk. Its construction was started in 1865 by Ismail Khan and was completed and brought into economic operation by his son, Morteza Khan Vakil al-Molk II in 1870.
The restoration and conservation efforts of the caravanserai have aimed at goals beyond mere commercial interests. Primarily, the focus is on revitalizing this structure with an innovative approach, positioning it as a premier-ranked tourist destination.
